How Much do I charge for freelance assignments?

Generally, for freelance assignments I charge at a rate of about $50 per hour. But, I usually work out details with whoever I’m working with because several factors apply like deadlines, research, etc.

What type of work do I prefer?

For freelance assignments, I prefer copywriting — and I’m open to the type, although I love blogging. I’ve written web copy, video scripts, case studies, outlines, briefs, social and email copy, and more.

For professional work, I also enjoy writing but I tend to focus my attention more on strategy work and lending support to campaigns through that lens. And I like that. I like mapping out ideas, collaborating with others, and working through challenges. That’s been most gratifying for me because I learn from others and get better at what I do, which pays off in better end results, stronger copy, new best practices, etc.
